Welcome to our Victorian Walled Garden Nursery, housing one of the most remarkable collections of beautiful plants in the region.

For 2009 here at Pennard plants we are placing much more emphasis on our Kitchen Garden.
For many years now we have been offering our unique range of Heritage Vegetable Seeds which many of our customers have grown with complete satisfaction. Indeed, we ourselves have been enjoying the fruits of our labours by growing many of these old fashioned varieties in our trial vegetable plot.
Now, in addition to amazing Agapanthus, glorious Gladioli, wonderful Watsonias, and a myriad of other scintillating South African plants, we would like to offer a range of heritage vegetable plants, seed potatoes (in season) and many other items for the Kitchen Garden, all of which can be delivered to your door using our secure on line ordering system, or may be collected from the nursery by prior arrangement.

At many of the Flower Shows we attend you will be able to view displays of these vegetables and purchase seeds and other items from our sales area. We have decided to offer this Kitchen Garden range under the name ‘Growing Old’ and you will increasingly see this name on our packets and signs.

For those plant lovers out there we will still be offering our South African Plant Collection and indeed have many new Agapanthus varieties coming on for 2009. Look out for these at our Agapanthus Day at the nursery on July 16th or at Hampton Court and Tatton Park Flower Shows.

A new adventure for 2009 is the addition of a Blog . Here you can add your own gardening tips for others to enjoy or read ramblings about the shows.

Nursery Hours 2009 – Wednesdays 10am – 3pm (March – October),
but please check the day before if travelling a distance as our show schedule can sometimes lead to closure.

For directions and further details or for an appointment outside of the above hours please e mail or telephone us.

We don’t do teas, (although the kettle is always available), pots or other garden sundries, we are a nursery so please wear suitable clothing and footwear when visiting.
