Edible Daylily. Hardy perennial suitable for sun or part shade. This new variety reaches 60cms with beautiful purple-red flowers with a contrasting yellow throat. It is a re-bloomer in that it flowers in early summer and produces another flush later. Easy to grow and edible. Harvest the shoots in spring and use in stir fries or pasta. Use the tubers in winter. The flower buds can be steamed or stir-fried, and the flowers can be used in salads or dried in miso soups. An all-round useful plant. Priced for: 2 litre pot
