Chocolate Vine. A semi-evergreen climber native to Japan, China and Korea. Dangling stalks of cinnamon-scented, fragrant deep purple flowers in mid spring followed by edible, elongated, lavender-coloured seed pods in autumn. Scrambling growth; will climb up a tree. Easy to grow and hardy. Will grow 6-10 metres if allowed. Sun or partial shade. Needs a pollinator such as Akebia quinata to produce fruit. Priced for a 3 litre pot
