Edible Rowan. Extremely hardy hybrid between Sorbaronia alpina (Aronia arbutifila x Sorbus aria) and Sorbus aucuparia. A small tree (1.5 - 2.5 metres) with a compact crown. Bears large crops of firm sweet purple-red berries in early autumn (6-10% sugar). Has the typical Rowan flavour for eating raw or making Rowan jelly, and the berries will store for 3-4 months if not used straight away. Resistant to cold and disease. Priced for: half-standard tree
