Mentha x piperata cv. This variety of mint has a smell similar to peppermint with a dash of chocolate. Makes a nice addition to chocolate desserts. Hardy perennial. Treat as garden mint and plant in a pot if you don't want it to spread too much. Well-drained, rich soil is best. The flowers are attractive to bees and hoverflies. Priced for: 1 litre pot
Use: Gives a distinctive chocolate-mint flavour to foods. Make mint tea, add to chocolate desserts such as ice cream, or muddle the leaves to make an unusual mojito.
