Allium (Edible), Allium hookerii 'Zorami'

Hooker's Onion, also 'Hooker's Chives'. Wonderful long-flowering allium with masses of white drumstick flowers that flower into late autumn and are very attractive to pollinating insects. All parts are edible; the bulb and leaves are eaten raw or cooked, and the flowers are eaten raw or as a garnish on salads. The plant is said to repel moles. Zorami is a robust clone collected from Mizoram, India. Hardy deciduous. Priced for a 1 litre pot
