Another member of the Szechuan Pepper family. Found in several provinces of China including Sichuan. A shrub or small tree, both the branches and leaves have spines. The berries (peppercorns) are produced in late summer and are used as condiment either fresh or dried. Easy to grow. Hardy. Supplied in a 2 litre pot, 40 to 50 cm high.
