Mentha ssp. An aromatic mint with slightly silvery soft leaves with a light scent similar to that of ripe pears. Bred by mint connoisseur Jim Westerfield in the United States. No invasive runners, so it is ideal to be planted in the herb garden amongst other herbs without the danger of the runners swamping the other plants. Height: 50 cm. The lilac flowers are attractive to bees and hoverflies. Priced for: 2 litre pot
Use: Gives a distinctive scent of ripe pears to foods. Make fruit tea, add to desserts such as ice cream or muddle the leaves to make an unusual mojito.
