Rubus fruiticosus - Thorny, but still sought after for the quality and size of the fruit. Early fruiting variety that starts the blackberry picking season bearing fruit from late July to August. The fruits are borne in large clusters and are large, round and soft with a good flavour. Vigorous and therefore not an ideal variety for a small garden, but it is suitable for planting against a wall or fence. Prune out old canes after fruiting to keep it productive. Full sun is best, although it will tolerate a little shade. Priced for a 5 litre pot
