Angelica archangelica, (12th century) Medicinal Herb - Native to cold countries, Russia, Syria, Lapland & Iceland. A dramatic addition to any garden, all parts sweetly aromatic & grows to 6 ft. Long sturdy hollow stems are ribbed & delicately coloured, starting out purple at the base & rise to a pale-yellow green. Biennial, blooming every 2 or 3 yrs., with towering rounded globes of tiny yellow or white flowers mid to late summer. Hardy. In 16th century the roots were chewed as an antidote to the plague & later as a cure against Hydrophobia & a great blood purifier , Seed Count Approx - 50 avg
