Foeniculum vulgare, (Circa late 1600's) A classic Italian ‘Florence Bulbing type’ variety, with high bolting resistance & best known for late cropping, plus its extra-large (between 500g & 1kg) white bulbs & wonderful crispy texture & taste & pleasant aniseed flavour. This only grows 60 to 90cm (24 to 36in) tall, making it great for smaller gardens or containers. Easy to grow. With bright green, fern-like leaves & aromatic yellow flowers midsummer to late autumn, a perennial grown as an annual.
