Vicia faba. Unusual heritage Windsor variety. Don't be fooled by the green pods. When mature they produce a crop of stunning purple beans. And being a Windsor variety the flavour is excellent. Flowers are a conventional black & white but quite unusual in form, with a pinky-mauve flush at the base. Maincrop plantings begin in March & then at monthly intervals until the end of May to provide beans throughout the summer. Ht 60-100cm. Seed Count approx - 10.
