Physalis ixocarpa - Indeterminate , Originally from Guatemala, grown for its husk enclosed fruits It’s a member of the tomato family, although not a real tomato, it looks like one & tastes better than one. The golden-yellow fruits ripen from green, about the size of a large cherry. Taste has just a hint of pineapple, yet they're sweet, like citrus really, mellow & wonderful. The short spreading vines produce abundantly & are ripe when the papery husk begins to turn from green to buff brown & split open.
