Capsicum annuum, Unusual, Rare Caribbean Heirloom , (Circa 1800’s) Cayenne strength of 80 to 90,000 Scoville’s.. yet best known (circa 1940’s USA) as seasoning in glorious seafood dishes of mainly Caribbean immigrants in the Baltimore Maryland region. It was well known for complex & delicious flavours, but more so for its colourful compact 2 ft plants, with very unique striated & speckled white / green leaves; Yet, the chilies are the real feast, starting a solid creamy white, then into a light green with dark green striations, turning orange with dark brown striations until they finally ripen into flavourful solid red peppers which are short, pendant & pointed, about 1 1⁄2 to 2 in long & can be picked when young (still green & white) or mature (fully red.) , Seed Count Approx - 10 Avg
