Trigonella foenum graecum, One of the Oldest Plants in the World, this staple of Indian food (methi), has a distinctive, curry-powder aroma, is a semi-arid crop & grows up to 60 cm with strong roots, generating yellowish-white blossoms, then long brown pods with seeds. Uses are: as a herb (dried or fresh), as a spice (seeds), & a vegetable (fresh leaves, sprouts, & microgreens). Fresh leaves are cooked as a vegetable curry or dried & used to flavour other dishes. Seeds roasted to reduce bitterness & ground for curry powder, pickles & stews. Sprouts are eaten in salads. Annual, Seed Count Approx - 130 avg

 SOWING - Full sun,( doesn't like transplanting). After frosts, mid-Spring, sow seed in situ just pressed lightly in the soil. They sprout quickly. Prefers fertile soil, so be generous with the compost. Space plants five to six inches apart. Harvest in autumn
