Coriandrum sativum, Aromatic Herb - Fine Feathery Frilly Leaf, Totally unique fine & feathery Frilly leaf foliage with the appearance of carrot tops, but maintains a subtle distinctive coriander flavour & wonderfully aromatic with a slight sweetness, Good bolting tolerance & less susceptible to leaf damage than others. (Hardy). Ht: 45cm. One of the oldest known herbs (mentioned in the bible), lacy foliage is the "cilantro", & dried seeds are 'Coriander' or 'Dhania', an aromatic spice. This annual doesn’t tolerate heat, so grow little & often early Spring & Fall (miss Summer), Seed Count Approx - 140 avg
SOWING - Sow seed very thinly, about 1cm apart, and cover with a thin layer of compost. Water in and keep the compost moist but not wet, This annual doesn’t tolerate heat, so grow little & often early Spring & again late summer. Can also be sown in a cold frame in Oct to Jan, planting out late Feb to March, will bolt in the heat.
