Beautiful rich orangey-red French Heirloom, with deep ribs in a flattened shape like a red cheese wheel. Extremely ornamental, surprisingly beautiful, great yield & sweet flavour that makes an excellent base for soups, purported to be used by Cinderella for a ride to the Ball & good for the USA 'Pumpkin' pies. SOWING - (120 days) A warm spot, well-drained & fertile soil with plenty of composted organic matter & mulch to conserve moisture; Sow insitu after the threat of frost has passed. Sow one inch deep in hills or rows spaced twenty-four to thirty inches apart, Harvest late Autumn near the first frosts.
