Solanum lycopersicum, (Pre 1890's) 10 to 12 oz, Outdoor, (Cordon), A famous Tennessee heirloom associated with the Cherokee Indians dating back to the 1880s. Has an extremely superb sweet flavour, with a backdrop of slight acid & an earthy, yet rich smoky lingering taste. Large 10 to 12 oz, thin-skinned & soft fleshly, dusky rose/purple fruit with deep brick red interiors. Also unusual in being extremely popular for the sake of its flavour, instead of only its unusual colour & fruits were not smooth, there are prettier tomatoes, but you can't eat pretty!!! 80 days, Indeterminate (cordon) Best as Outdoor grown., Seed Count Approx - 15 avg

SOWING - Surface-sown or covered only slightly, Don't allow to dry out but don’t overwater. Keep warm until germination (10 days approx), move to WARM bright light area. After about last frost, transplant out into protected growing pots. Plants need STAKING & side-shoots removed, . Likes a real warm Spot. Great grown outside or in, in a large container or in the garden.

We’ve grown these for the first time this year. They germinated well and grew strongly.

The tomatoes are fabulous. They are large they look beautiful and they taste fantastic couldn’t be more pleased and will definitely be growing them again.
