Cucurbita pepo, Cylindrical & Sweet - Outdoor Bushy type, Grown widely in the USA this is a bright, intense, Golden-yellow open-pollinated variety with its beautiful cylindrical shape, milder and sweeter in flavour than its green cousins and offers a pale creamy white inside flesh, These bushy plants bear abundant crops of tasty courgettes and retain their colour own cooked, plus, add fantastic vibrant colour combinations to any plate.. (Easy to see & to pick) Pluck them when they're 6 to 8 inches long & full of flavour. Could be pickled if harvested small or can be a fine plant in ornamental borders too. The flowers are also edible: pick when just opened and dip in batter, then fry for a deliciously different appetiser, Seed Count Approx - 12 avg 

  SOWING - Courgettes like a sunny, sheltered position and rich soil. Hardy annual.  Sow indoors March to April or outdoors after frosts,  Sow 1.5cm deep allowing 90cm between, Cut when about 15cm to 18 cm long & harvest regularly from late summer. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 90cm (36").
