Mentha Piperita, Ahhhhh, soothing Peppermint Tea, It's a characteristically pure & refreshing odour, pungent & with a clean-air taste, a cross between water mint & spearmint. (The typical “mint scent” is most pure in peppermint). Known as a herbal medicine & popular herb for infusions, has a long tradition of medicinal use, with archaeological evidence placing its use at least as far back as ten thousand years ago.  SOWING - Easily propagated by means of seed sown February to June or August to September., Perennial/deciduous. Mint will grow anywhere but does best in moist, rich soil & partial shade. Sow seeds 6 mm deep. Seeds are tiny, so thin the seedlings once germinated. . Keep pots in a warm location & soil lightly moist but not soggy.  If starting mint seeds outdoors, sow seeds on the surface of prepared soil and cover them with a light layer of vermiculite
