Tomato , Heinz 1370 (Medium) Semi-determinate

Solanum lycopersicum, Semi-determinate Heirloom, Open Pollinated (Parents: Cornell 55-539 x E.S. 54-1878-B. 1962) Released in the 60’s following on inline from Heinz 1350. This semi-bush tomato offers high yields of Bright Red ‘ Globe shaped’, crack-resistant fruit at about (6 to 7 oz) each. At a height of 3 to 4 ft, it produces superb smooth globe-shaped Cooker / Slicers where the skin slips off easily after scalding, yet, It’s solid, red & meaty, so perfect for chopping up & above all offers that Heinz traditional Flavour. Fine grown indoors, or best outside in a sunny spot & will even do great in a large container. As vines are vigorous it would benefit from the support of staking as the fruit can grow quite large.  SOWING -  Surface-sown or covered only slightly, Don't allow to dry out but don’t overwater. Keep warm until germination (10 days approx), move to WARM bright light area. After about last frost, transplant out into protected growing pots. Plants should be staked, but can be treated, either way, side-shoots removing, or not removing as appropriate
