Solanum lycopersicum, Smooth, 3-inch round, Orange/yellow Globe, (Open Pollinated – Heirloom) When the 6th Earl of Edgecombe died in the 1960s, the heir to the title of 7th Earl was a relative in New Zealand who was a sheep farmer at the time. When he came to England to claim the title, he brought this with him. The seeds were made available through the (Henry Doubleday Foundation), who found it the best of their 1996 seed trials. This Small Beefsteak is a smooth, 3-inch round, uniformly ripening beautiful orange/yellow globe fruit, typically borne in clusters of two or more. The flesh is firm, meaty & exceptionally flavourful with a perfect balance of sweetness & acidic & excellent fresh or for slicing and salads. Indeterminate, Seed Count Approx - 8 avg 

  SOWING -  Surface-sown or covered only slightly, Don't allow to dry out but don’t overwater. Keep warm until germination (10 days approx), move to WARM bright light area. After about last frost, transplant out into protected growing pots. Plants need staking & side-shoots removing. Will grow as well inside or out & not fussy about Pots or open ground, Just depends on your needs & space.
