Lactuca sativa, Cut & Come again (Sounds like a Movie?), Circa 1700's USA - (Also spelled Cimmaron) This Old Heritage variety, has a golden reddish-burgundy tinge on the outer leaves and is bright green on the inside, averages 10-12 inches tall. It is more heat tolerant than most red romaine, Very tender & silky with soft leaves & crunchy stems, The medium-sized heads stay firm and solid even in hot weather. Does well in the North and is slow to bolt, yet, crisp and quite flavourful Use as Cut & Come again or grow on, Seed Count Approx - 300 avg

 SOWING - Sow in an unheated greenhouse or protected area outside, all thru the year making succession plantings every 1-2 weeks to ensure a constant harvest. Always harvest lettuce very early in the morning, Maturity 68 days Seed Depth: sow thinly and just lightly covered (5 to 10 days to emerge) Note: Lettuce will not germinate at high temperatures.
