Pea Dwarf , Tom Thumb

Pisum sativum. 1st early round-seeded pea. A true miniature; you can grow Tom Thumb peas in flower pots, window boxes or in the garden. A rare heirloom dwarf pea variety, dating from the early 1800's that grows to a height of just 30cm, but produces full-sized pea pods. It's particularly cold-tolerant due to its small size, so is good for early sowings. Ideal for children to grow, and so sweet it can be eaten raw. Steam for just a short time to keep the best flavour. Seed count approx 50
