Our Victorian Walled Garden houses the most beautiful and productive plants in the region
‘Our Victorian Walled Garden, in the heart of rural Somerset, grows and sells one of the largest selections of Edible Plants, Heritage and Heirloom Seeds, Fruit and Herb plants to be found in the UK.’
Wherever possible our seeds and plants are produced by us or especially for us in the United Kingdom.
We use organic methods of culture without pesticides but must stress we are not certified ‘organic’, we believe it is the methods used to grow our plants which are important and are always willing to give assistance in companion planting or the use of natural methods of pest control to our customers.

Edible Plants and Perennial Vegetables
There are many plants we grow in our gardens which have edible leaves, berries, roots or even bark.
We produce a huge range of these and endeavour to give information about preparation and eating these as well as how to grow them. It is important that what you grow tastes good, and our varieties are chosen with this in mind. ‘It is just as easy to grow something with amazing taste as it is to grow something that is tasteless’, (particularly true of Tomatoes or Potatoes!)
These will vary throughout the year, we endeavour to send seed orders within a couple of days but plants and tuber orders may take 14-21 days depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
We offer many leaflets and instructions for download that may be of interest and are adding new items regularly! We offer international shipping at reasonable costs!
