Spring planting. Also known as Keravel Pink, highly sought after Pink Panther is a slightly flat-topped onion with rosy-pink skin. It is associated with the French onion sellers (the ‘Onion Johnnies’) who, in the 1920's and 30's, travelled on bicycles, dressed in their traditional blue and white striped Breton tops and berets, selling these distinctive onions door to door across the UK. When cooked, the slight sharpness gives way to an almost sweet, fruity taste. Harvest from August. Stores well Priced for: 250 grams (approx. 50 to 60 sets)
