A compact semi-evergreen variety, bearing many cherry-red flowers with a yellow rib and lime-green throat. Very prolific; each flower lasts only one day, but the plant will flower all through late spring and summer. Compact size: height and spread 30 - 34 cm. Hardy. Sun or part-shade. Lift and divide every three years to maintain flowering.
Harvest the shoots in spring and use in stir-fries or pasta. Use the tubers in winter. The flower buds can be steamed or stir-fried, and the flowers can be used in salads or dried in miso soups. Priced for: 1 litre pot
