Allium (Edible), Allium schoenoprasum 'Polar Bere'

Robust white form of common chives, from a chance seedling. Makes a useful, edible, neat clump with its wonderful, not too strong onion-flavoured fine leaves, ready to be cut and thrown on a potato salad. Both leaves and flowers are edible. Trim to about 3cm a few times a year. Height to 30 cm. Best in a sunny position. Bulbous hardy perennial. Priced for: 1 litre pot
