Native to Korea, China Japan and eastern Russia. Hardy herbaceous perennial, bearing white daisy-like flowers on long stems. Frequently used in Korean cuisine due to its distinctive fragrance and taste. Easy to grow. Height to 1.2 metres. Best in slightly moist conditions, in a sunny spot. Edible and ornamental. Priced for a 1 litre pot
Use: Use leaves when young in spring; eat raw or use in stir fries. Later in the season the larger leaves can be dried, then re-hydrated and used in stir fries
