Cryptotoenia japonica - One of the few herbs to flourish in moist, shady places. The dark green leaves look like parsley, and taste like a mixture of celery, chervil and coriander. Perennial. Priced for a 11cm pot.
Use: the sprouts are used in salads and soup, as a garnish in miso, rice and stir-fry dishes, or as a sushi ingredient. The seeds are high in vitamin C and calcium
