Ribes × nidigrolaria (R. nigrum x R. divaricatum x R. uva-crispa) Thornless gooseberry/blackcurrant cross. Edible both raw and cooked, with a taste in middle of both parents, with the gooseberry being more dominant in unripe fruit and the blackcurrant more as it ripens. Max height about 2 metres. Flowers in mid-spring, with fruit setting & ripening like a blackcurrant (fruit fully ripe by late summer). Priced for a 3 litre pot
Use: Eat both raw and cooked. Makes fantastic jam.
