Citrus, Buddha's Hand

Citrus medica. The Buddha's Hand lemon is the oldest known citrus in cultivation. This highly unusual fruit produces long protruding fingers and a thick rind in the shape of a hand. The fruit has little pulp and is grown for its rind, which is often candied or zested with its sweet to tart flavour. It will need to be in a conservatory or greenhouse for winter but is perfectly happy outside in summer. Will stand frost for a short period but best kept frost-free in the long term. Priced for: a strong half standard, stem height approx 90 cm with bushy top and fruit coming.
