Citrus japonica. The fruits are very like small, yellowish, tart oranges, and are especially good for making preserves. Fragrant flowers are produced in winter. Prefers a warm rich moist soil, well-aerated and never badly drained. Keep outside in summer if possible, and under glass in winter. Best in containers for ease of movement in frosty months, which are the months they flower and crop. Priced for: a strong bushy plant, 70 - 80cm tall, loaded with fruit and/or flower, in a 4 litre pot.
