Trained in a 'stepover' shape, this is a very low-growing tree, on dwarfing rootstock (Quince Eline), that is ideal as a low, decorative and productive border for lawns, flower or vegetable beds. Height approx 45 cms.
Pyrus communis. Rootstock Quince Eline. The Queen of pears. Holder of the RHS's AGM. Medium-large, pale green fruit that turns to yellow. If you are looking for flavour, the texture and taste are truly outstanding. It does require a warm sheltered site, with other varieties as pollination partners, particularly Beth or Conference. Pick mid-October, eat within a month or so. Pollination group 4. Priced for a stepover tree
