Prunus dulcis. Despite only growing a few centimetres per year this attractive dwarf almond tree still produces a good crop of nuts. Ideal in a pot on a balcony or patio, or it can be planted out in a small garden. Self-pollinating, but may benefit from hand-pollination (by brush). Pruning is hardly needed; just feed once a year with a good quality fertiliser. Harvest September to October. Full sun is best.
