Pyrus communis. Dessert. Known as the Hazel Pear, this very old variety arose at Hessle Nr Hull, and was first recorded in 1827. Small greenish-yellow fruit with some russeting. The flesh is white, juicy and fairly sweet. This pear is extremely hardy and reliable, growing and fruiting just about anywhere. Pick in October. Needs a pollinator. Priced for: a 3 year bush
