Apricot, Goldcot® - maiden

Prunus armeniaca. A vigorous and hardy variety, Goldcot produces reliable crops of good-sized yellow fruits that are 'freestone', meaning the stone can be removed from the flesh with ease. The skins are quite thick, making the fruit ideal for longer storage in the fridge. This thicker skin also makes it an ideal variety for freezing and bottling. Particularly suitable for cold wet climates such as the UK. Self-fertile. Priced for: a maiden tree.
