Malus baccata - Also known as the Manchurian or Chinese Crab Apple. Native to Western Asia and Siberia, this is an extremely hardy crab apple, capable of withstanding temps down to -30C. The bright red gooseberry-sized fruits stay on the branches well into winter, making it decorative as well as edible. White flowers in spring. Priced for a half standard tree
