Morus nigra -A hardy, medium-sized tree with a rounded, spreading habit, bearing heart-shaped leaves with good colour in autumn. Heavy crops of sweet-tart, dark purple fruits that can be eaten straight from the tree or used to make jams and jellies. Thrives in full sun and well-drained soils. This grafted form comes into fruit very early in its life. You will generally not find this fruit in the stores as it does not travel well. Pick in August. Very hardy (down to -20C). Ultimate height 8 metres. Priced for: a bushy plant in a 15 litre pot
