A British-bred mangetout pea with stunning flat, purple pods that are best harvested young then steamed or added to stir frys, although the colour will fade to dark green when pods are steamed. This superb variety with its attractive two-tone purple and pink flowers makes a very pretty addition to the vegetable plot. At around 1m in height it's also suitable for container growing.
