Pisum sativum. An ideal variety for 'Tabletop' growing, Dwarf pea Bernard is characterised by its petite stature, typically reaching 45 to 60cm high. Unlike conventional garden peas, its compact growth habit eliminates the need for support structures, as the plentiful tendrils interlock, enabling the plants to remain upright and keeping the pods elevated above the soil. This variety is particularly suitable for small gardens, raised beds, patio containers and even flower boxes. It produces uniform pods up to 7cm long, each holding 5 to 6 sweet, flavourful peas.
