Angelica archangelica, 12th Century 'Medicinal Herb' - Native to cold countries, Russia, Syria, Lapland & Iceland. A dramatic addition to any garden, all parts are sweetly aromatic & grow to 6 ft. Long sturdy hollow stems are ribbed & delicately coloured, starting out purple at the base & rising to a pale yellow-green. Biennial, blooming every 2 or 3 yrs., with towering rounded globes of tiny yellow or white flowers mid to late summer. Hardy.
