Well this is one of those, its an all over red Vigorous 3 foot plant which forms nice red firm 1 to 2-inch sized sprouts in early autumn into winter if eariler planted in May to early June. They offer sweet, delicate, nutty flavours especially after a good frost when the plants turn even a deeper red. Sprouts stay red when cooked. Harvest from the bottom of the stalk upwards as they mature, starting when they are firm. SOWING - Remember Crop rotation, Sow mid spring to Mid summer outside for autumn harvest. (1 to 2 week germination). Hardy & needs cool, moist weather with some frost at maturity. Harvest until Nov/Dec, or all-winter in milder climates. Keep well watered
