Brassica napus vr napo,  Sweet, Dark Reddish Purple-skin Round Root, Brassica napus napobrassica 'Ruby', Well-bred (Scottish) sweet, dark reddish purple-skinned round roots with nice smooth yellow/cream insides that goes deeper yellow when cooked. A well known excellent winter hardiness & it has been bred to have good resistance to Powdery Mildew. As with any swede. It’s a great source of vitamin C, Calcium, Potassium & Magnesium, RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. Called a Rutabaga in the USA, Seed Count Approx - 300 avg 

  SOWING - Swedes need a firm seed bed., To avoid foliage mildew, sow early May to June in North or late May to late July in South (20-22 weeks maturity). Best in a sunny location where the soil is firm, well fertile & non-acid, Harvest Nov onwards, Very winter Hardy
