Apium graveolens var dulce, Circa 1880’s - Aka:. Plain blanc doré chemin, - Syn. Plain, blanc, doré, chemin. This is an outstanding heritage self-blanching variety that is both crisp and juicy, yet compact and tidy in growth, reaching only up to 30 inches. This aromatic, full-hearted, ribbed celery features thick and heavy pale yellow/green stringless stalks. It matures in 85 days and does not require blanching or piling soil around it. Moreover, it is a strong disease-resistant variety. Historically, celery was used in ancient Greece to adorn the heads of athletes., Seed Count Approx - 400 avg
