Originally from the USA, this unusual, unique, elongated, very sweet and delicate, yet punchy tomato flavoured (and very pretty), Roma-type tomato. Its said to be a clone of the USA's renowned "Striped Roman" but in much smaller size. Its one and half inch (4 to 6 centimetres) length is an elongated plum shaped cherry sized tomato that is bright red with yellow / orange stripes running its length. This variety is both well-known and well-suited for both plucking straight off the vine (and into the mouth) or as tomato paste for making thick sauces etc. (and its beautiful to look at). SOWING - Surface-sown or covered only slightly, Don't allow to dry out but don’t overwater. Keep warm until germination (10 days approx), move to WARM bright light area. After about last frost, transplant out into protected growing pots. Plants need STAKING & side-shoots removed, . Likes a real warm Spot. Great grown outside or in, in a large container or in the garden.
