 Solanum lycopersicum, A well known Semi - determinate Heirloom,  (circa 1895 USA) Open Pollinated, semi-determinate, Ht: 3 to 4 ft.  Originally developed for “Joseph Campbell & Co (New Jersey) in 1895, when the first can of ready-to-eat tomato soup was introduced it became their signature product for over 25 years. This early maturing variety is a disease resistant, reliable performer that also grows well in adverse weather conditions. Bright red 7-10 oz. medium to small beefsteak sized fruits ripen all at once.  Offering a good firm flesh & excellent flavour, they are great for fresh eating & canning/cooking, offering a sweet flavour with a touch of acidity.   SOWING -  Surface-sown or covered only slightly, Don't allow to dry out but don’t overwater. Keep warm until germination (10 days approx), move to WARM bright light area. After about last frost, transplant out into protected growing pots. Plants need staking & side-shoots removing. Will grow as well inside or out & not fussy about Pots or open ground, Just depends on your needs & space.
