Solanum lycopersicum, Open-pollinated, Heritage & Semi-Determinate, (85 days) Producing compact, bushy plants 3 to 4 ft, & yielding substantial mid-season harvests. Developed as a tribute to Rutgers University 250th anniversary, this improved version draws from the original in 1934 & was carefully re-developed using parent seeds (JTD & Marglobe) from the Campbell Soup Company. The primary goal was to revive the classic "Jersey" flavour of the 1930s, which had faded due to commercial cultivation over time. Its firm, smooth, thick-skinned & slightly flattened, with vibrant red, globe-shaped fruits are known for crack resistance & a balanced sugar-acidity profile, retaining the traditional taste, with a nuanced blend of sweetness & tartness & a subtle bite & bred for resilience against Verticillium & Fusarium wilt, Seed Count Approx - 15 avg

SOWING -  Surface-sown or covered only slightly, Don't allow to dry out but don’t overwater. Keep warm until germination (10 days approx), move to WARM bright light area. After about last frost, transplant out into protected growing pots. Plants need staking & side-shoots removing. Will grow as well inside or out & not fussy about Pots or open ground, Just depends on your needs & space.
