Lychnis-flos-cuculi, 'Cuckoo Flower' - Finely Cut Rose-Pink Petals, A delicate native wildflower with a lovely untamed spirit. In early summer, its finely cut, rose pink petals appear on damp ground like scraps of wind tossed silk, lending a gentle wildness to any garden corner. Once a familiar sight in wet meadows, marshes & stream edges, this charming perennial has grown rarer in the wild, its old haunts quieter without its airy bloom. Yet give it what it loves — the cool margins of a pond, the soft sponge of a rain garden, the steady moisture of boggy soil — & it responds with a bright, pretty pinkish display, whilst feeding bees, butterflies & wandering pollinators. Planting this is a small act of restoration, a way to coax back a little of the meadow’s lost magic & let the landscape remember its own sweetness, Seed Count Approx - 200 avg 

  SOWING - Sow in spring or autumn, indoors or outdoors. Surface sow on moist compost and do not cover, as seeds need light to germinate. Keep at around 20°C; germination takes 10–20 days. Plant out after frost, spacing 50cm apart, in sun or semi-shade and moist to boggy soil. Cut back after flowering to encourage more blooms and reduce self-seeding.
