Cornelian Cherry. A very interesting strain from the breeding series of the Higher Federal Institute of Horticulture, Vienna-Schönbrunn. The large, bright red, slightly pear-shaped fruits have a sweet taste and a high vitamin C content. The fruits can be used to make fruit juices, syrup and jam, fruit wine, liqueur and Dirndl brandy, Very ornamental too with bright yellow flowers in spring and lovely autumn colour on the leaves. A deciduous shrub growing to approx 5 metres. Priced for a 4 litre pot
